David Uzochukwu (born 1998) is an Austrian-Nigerian artist engaging with longing and belonging through (self) portraiture. He uses photography and digital image manipulation to convey his dreamlike stories.

I feel it’s the perfect time to showcase his work, as we are in the midst of a paradigm shift that will forever change the way we create images. And despite his young age, Uzochukwu’s work is an example of the old way, as he captures and assembles the elements of his images himself. This process will be increasingly replaced by images created entirely by A.I.
