Sophy Hollington is a Brighton-based illustrator who has made a name for herself through her unique take on futuristic folklore realized in linocut. The influence of old-world symbolism is intriguing, but it is only through the hard way of physically carving her artworks that she is able to imbue her creations with this peculiar mood out of time. Without that resistance, she says her creativity wouldn’t know where to go.

In 2018, Sophy teamed up with Scottish writer David Keenan to design the Autonomic Tarot (at the end of this post).
