I discovered Terence McKenna only half a year ago at Leif Podhajsky’s MELT blog. I clearly found something I was looking for and I’m so grateful for that. I never resonated with someones’s ideas so instantly on such a deep level. Terence truly opened up a worm hole into many new things for me. Such as this blog if you look at it from a broader point of view.
Since then I listend to almost everything by him which is quite a lot and also read his books. It’s impossible to pick the best lecture but this one marks the beginning and stands out for this reason.
Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering its a feather bed.
