Jon Han
Death and Transfiguration

October 8 2016

The art of dying, the experience of letting go all that is known is almost forgotten in our culture. We do everything to obscure this only certainty that life holds for us. And by doing this we throw away the key to liberation.

Jon Han created these poignant illustrations for the New York Times and their series about end-of-life issues.

Remember the clear light, the pure clear white light from which everything in the universe comes, to which everything in the universe returns; the original nature of your own mind. The natural state of the universe unmanifest. Let go into the clear light, trust it, merge with it. It is your own true nature, it is home.
