Lieke Romeijn is a multidisciplinary Dutch artist whose work I have followed for several years. Recently, her nomadic way of life brought us together when she and her partner, illustrator Sieger Duinkerken, visited us in the South of France.

I first encountered Lieke’s work through her heartfelt portraits of mothers and children, that are imbued with an almost utopian serenity. This same raw, earthy beauty flows through all her creations, whether it’s her vibrant food art or her drawings made with natural pigments.
