Uri Shapira
Chemical bloom

July 29 2017

The works of Uri Shapira expose environments of alternative truth, made of active metal vegetation and various chemical growths. We can see matter flourish as if it was a living plant. But as with any inorganic growth, it doesn’t possess reproduction abilities of itself, thus depends absolutely on its creator; running on limited given fuel.

The process is captured via macro photography and digitally stitched together. Therefore the resulting image isn’t a representation of a moment in time, it never existed as seen in the image. To understand the work you have to see it in high-res mode. I added three examples here or find more on the artist’s website: 1, 2, 3
