Andy Goldsworthy
Working With Time

March 29 2016

When I look at the sculptures of Andy Goldsworthy I imagine the man and his process of creation. At play with the relentless flow of the elements, forming fragile and temporary moments in time. And when nature takes them apart again, it’s not destruction but growth to another plane, another work. It’s part of the big cycle.

In addition to the still photographs (taken by the artist himself) you also find below the documentary Rivers and Tides. This deeply moving film, shot in four countries and across four seasons, shows how Goldsworthy works and what it’s all about.

This is the real secret of life — to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.
