Ernesto Neto
The body that carries me

May 14 2014

I would describe the work of Ernesto Neto as ‘body art’. It’s a supreme example of art that communicates by bodily sensations. But even just looking at his installations remind us of our own body, our senses, and our mind that is all so inextricably interwoven. Neto takes you back to the womb and makes you more aware of your humaneness, this wonderful experience we all have in common.
It only made perfect sense when I heard him speak about Ayahuasca and that he knows this ancient way to work deep inside.

Here’s a great interview with the artist:
“I want visitors to feel the poetry of being alive”
